Side Effects of Ritalin – Low Concentration of Queries

When used as prescribed, the side effects of Ritalin are normally fairly benign and may include symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, difficulty sleeping, dry mouth and lack of appetite. High blood pressure and heart palpitations are less common, but have been reported as well.

In Graph 1 below, “side effects of ritalin” is well down the list of popular searches, with only 4,275 queries. The most popular inquiries involve purchasing Ritalin either with or without a prescription. “Buy ritalin” totaled just over 86,000 queries, while the phrases “ritalin no prescription” and “ritalin without a prescription” were recorded 17,119 times. Other searches of note include “ritalin weight” and “ritalin weight loss”. These can refer to either the weight loss side effects of Ritalin use or its new popularity as an appetite suppressant. “Smoking ritalin” and “snorting ritalin” also indicate an interest in methods to achieve a greater “high” than from simply orally ingesting this drug.
